Main Road houses and the estates

Older houses nearer the centre are similar in age to parts of the southern suburbs but sit in Helderberg wind. Estates toward Sir Lowry’s Pass add design rules and often a bit more stand for an extension or a new house. A builder needs the estate name and whether plans already exist. The mountain side is windier than the streets closer to the N2.

This is not Strand. Strand’s beachfront flats are a different waterproofing problem. If your house is in Strand, use that page. If it is in Somerset West, say so, including whether it is an estate.
